Selling my 1976 Chevy G10 shorty van. I bought the van out of Ohio. This is a two owner van, including myself. I have a clean Indiana title in my name, and I kept the original '76 Ohio title as provenance, which will go with the van as well.
The van was purchased new in Toledo, Ohio from the Carl F. Weissenberger, Inc. dealership. Original "protect-o-plate" paperwork comes with the van.
The original paint was Indian Bronze, and this van was repainted sometime in the 80's - this orange is slightly brighter than the OG Indian Bronze. No holes cut into the roof, or the side panels. This van is 99% rust-free, top to bottom, besides one very small spot on the gas door opening - see photo. Every other square inch of this van - including the roof and undercarriage is bone dry. The passenger door looks to have been replaced in the 80's as well - the interior paint on the passenger door has a few spots where the paint peeled off, likely due to improper prep work. The exterior paint on the passenger door is fantastic shape, and clearly, proper prep work was performed.
This van has the original 350 V8 paired with the original 350 trans - manual steering, and manual brakes. Aftermarket cruise control was installed by the OG owner, and works PERFECT. I had a complete tune-up performed August 2023, and the entire A/C system gone through, plus updated to R134 - the A/C works GREAT - just spent $1,500 this month alone on the above items.
Last winter, I had the rear drums rebuilt, and rear brake lines completely redone with custom copper lines. All four shocks were replaced in winter 2022 with KYB shocks. Receipts to prove all work, that was completed by my mechanic. The van runs fantastic, and hauls ass. The wheels (American Racing Torq Thrusts) and Cooper Cobra rubber are brand new, and have less than 400 miles on them, front and back. The rear wheels are 15x10s, and the fronts are 15x8s.
I have a bunch of maintenance records that date back to the late 70's, and show exactly what was done to this van, and when. The previous owner was meticulous with his maintenance upkeep.
Every single electrical component in and on this van works - dash cluster gauges all work, wipers work, aftermarket FM/AM radio works, and all interior/exterior lights function as they should.
The interior was custom done by the previous owner as well. It looks fantastic and is very functional with storage underneath the "bed frame".
